Outdoors with Colton

We really haven't had much of a summer this year. June was chilly and I was 9 months pregnant, so we didn't do a whole lot, then I had Kylie and we've been renovating the house for the month of July. So this month I'm going to try and cram summer in, while still renovating that dang house. I realized that we haven't been to my parents cabin at all, haven't been ATVing, nor have we been fishing, so I took the kids on a day trip with my parents and Papa B to their cabin. It was great because my mom stayed at the cabin with Kylie all day so I could spend all my time with Colton. I think he needed a day of one-on-one time and we all had lots of fun!

The first thing Colton wants to do when we get to the cabin is always help Papa B fill the birdfeeders up.

They found a nest in one of the birdhouses that had an egg that never hatched in it. Colton said it was a "baby sister" egg.

He felt it necessary to color on a white board inside his tent.

ATV rides with Aunt Jilly Poo!

We went on a fun hike. After this pic Colton fell and got really scraped up.

He picked some flowers for Grandma.

He loved playing in the Weber River!

He could have stayed here all day.

Kylie had fun in the cabin with Grandma!

Colton decided that this worm needed to stay in his pocket instead of on the fish hook.

He helped Papa B catch this tiger trout!

Helping Grandpa Bryan too.

Looks like you guys had a great time! One-on-one time with each of my kids is something I really, really cherish. My favorite picture is the one of Colton with the worm!

What a good mom! Our summer has kind of gotten away from us too! I thought I would love a spring baby but its tricky with an older kid! Colton looks like he had a blast! :)

Hooray for cabin time! Is this what brought on the asthma? Colton makes me so happy. And Kylie is really growing fast!

Your house is looking awesome. I hope you all survive the re-do!
