- The flooring is 90% done in the new house. Yay!! They ran out of tile so there's a tiny part left to do and then a little bit of grout, and then it's done. The carpet was installed over the past couple of days and I love it. Our goal is to move in over Labor Day weekend.
- Everyone keeps asking me how I'm adjusting to being a mom of two and my answer is always that it's hard. Both kids love having meltdowns at the same time, Colton has caught on to the fact that he can pretty much do anything he wants when I'm feeding Kylie, and it just takes FOREVER to get out of the house! It's not horrible, I-want-to-cry-all-day hard, just harder than before.
- Colton learned from somewhere the phrase, "When I grow up I want to be a _______". So far, he's told us that he wants to be a doctor (yay!), a garbage truck driver, a fireman, and a street sweeper. It's really cute.Colton is also obsessed with creating obstacle courses in the living that involve jumping from couch to ottoman to bean bag chair to exercise trampoline to pillows then back to couch. He'll add new small additions every day, like having to jump over trucks or making the spaces to jump further apart. Needless to say, the living room is a wreck every day.
- I'm really excited to move and give the kids their own room and get both kids on some sort of schedule. Colton starts Joy School next week with 5 other kids in our new neighborhood and will also be doing gymnastics and karate. So he'll kind of being forced into a schedule, but Kylie needs a good nap schedule. And blackout curtains. And a sound machine. And learn to fall asleep on her own. She's sleeping well at night: goes to bed around 8pm, wakes up for a feeding around 3am, another feeding at 7am, then is awake for the day at 9:30am. She then just cat naps throughout the day, and that's the habit I want to break.
- I've really been enjoying our garden lately. Every night this week I've used zucchini, bell peppers, crookneck squash, cucumbers, tomatoes, and/or herbs in our dinners and it makes me happy. Next week I think the raspberries will be ready to eat!
- A friend taught me how to make these headbands this week and it awoke the craftiness in me. All I want to do is make them, start sewing the million projects I have, and even attempt a painting project!

Colton is SO dalring! I love how smart he is.
Kylie is so precious and her headbands kill me! I need to have a baby girl just so I can make some of those with you!
