Friday Randoms 7/22/11

  • I'm starting to realize that the idea of giving birth and then immediately becoming a general contractor for the remodel of our new house was not the best idea I've ever had. This week has been crazy busy meeting with various subcontractors getting bids and various service people getting work done. And juggling two kids. And trying to take it a little easy so my incision can continue to heal properly. Today I'm taking the day off from all that, with the exception of going to the paint store and getting some samples.
  • Kylie is doing great with sleeping at night! Last night she woke up every 3 hours to eat (midnight, 3am, 6am, 9am) but the three previous nights she only woke up once to eat (3am). I'm hoping last night was a fluke and she goes back to just waking up once.
  • Kylie is becoming much more opinionated and let's me know that she hates baths, getting her diaper changed, changing clothes, and waiting too long for me to make her bottles. But other than that she's a sweetie!
  • Colton woke up with croup the other night.....who gets croup in the summer?! So I've been juggling the remodel, his sickness, and trying to keep him away from Kylie so she doesn't get sick. The doctor also put him on antibiotics just in case he gets something more serious and could pass it along to Kylie. That will really suck if she gets sick too.
  • The Saturday after Kylie was born we decided to reward Colton for being so good on his 4-day stay with his grandparents so we took him to Boondocks. He got to ride the bumper boats and go-karts with his dad and follow up with a few arcades.
Colton loved this ride!

  • This weekend Utah will be celebrating Pioneer Day and we met up with friends yesterday to go see a preview of the floats in the Days of '47 Parade.
He was quite fascinated with the balloon tower

The 3 kids chased each other in circles on the stage for at least 20 min!

YES, Lisa, PLEASE take it easy! I have no idea how you are doing so much. I think I was pretty much a bump on a log for at least a month after Will was born! I didn't do any more than was absolutely necessary! :)

Kylie and Colton are both so cute. You make pretty babies! And I hope Colton's feeling better soon.
